THINKING WIDER AND BIGGER: MY JOURNEY IN THE FREIGHT FORWARDING WORLD

Hello, everyone! just a quick update on where life has taken me recently. I'm currently working at a Japanese company in the freight forwarding industry, and my role as a sales professional has been quite the journey of growth and discovery. 

My responsibilities go beyond just selling services or maintaining relationships with existing customers. sure, finding new clients and maintaining customer satisfaction are key parts of my role, but lately, my mindset has been shifting-I've been thinking bigger. 

Meeting the Minds Behind the Industries

One of the most exciting aspects of my job is the chance to meet people from diverse industries. I've had the opportunity to interact with top-tier and second-tier manufactures in the vehicle industry, project leads in FMCG, F&B, and beyond. 

Each meeting is more than just a transaction; it's an opportunity to learn. These interactions have opened my eyes to how interconnected industries truly are. For instance, while following up on export import shipments, I've started to dive deeper into understanding the rules of supply chains. I'm learning about the intricacies of warehouse management and the broader logistic framework that supports global trade.

The Push to Think Outside the Box 

These experiences have pushed me to think beyond my daily routines. Industries are vast, dynamic, and full of challenges-and they require innovative solutions. I've realized that to excel, I can't just focus on the immediate task at hand. I need to think outside the box, explore possibilities, and develop strategies that are both creative and forward looking.

My Next Step

This job feels like a second step on the ladder. while I'm grateful for the growth it has brought me, I believe this is just the beginning. My ultimate goal is to take this knowledge and experience into a new direction, perhaps in another industry or role, where I can apply everything I've learned and continue growing. 

Thinking wider and bigger has reshaped my perspective, and I can't wait to see where this mindset takes me next. to everyone reading this, never stop learning and exploring-you never know how far it will push you forward!
